A wet-process fish feed machine generally refers to a wet-process extruded fish feed production line. It's primarily designed for processing high-moisture raw materials (such as fresh fish, fish scraps, shrimp, and crab) into pelleted feed. Compared to more common "dry-process" feed machines, these machines process raw materials with higher moisture content, producing feed pellets more suitable for certain aquaculture types (such as marine fish, soft-shelled turtles, shrimp, and crab), while retaining more nutrients.

The role of conditioner :

1. Using Steam to Heat the Raw Materials Saturated steam is injected directly into the pre-cooker. Raise the material temperature to 80–100°C (depending on the recipe and process).

2. Starch Gelatinization The starch in the raw materials gelatinizes under the influence of high temperature and moist heat, resulting in better pellet shape and increased water resistance.

3. Protein Denaturation High temperature changes the protein structure, improving digestibility.

4. Sterilization Kills bacteria and parasite eggs in the raw materials, improving feed safety.

5. Improved Pellet Quality More uniform pellet density and improved buoyancy.

6. Reduced Extrusion Load Pre-cooking softens the material, making screw extrusion easier and reducing equipment wear. 7. Increased Production Capacity Because the extruder no longer has to handle the entire cooking process, production efficiency is improved.
